Direct Supervisor: Director, Accounting
Status: Full-time
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix and its related entities. All roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to sponsorship accounting, accounts receivables, revenue/expense journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad hoc projects.
Location:
This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting for Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix sponsorship including creating estimates, generating invoices, tracking expenses, and reporting.
- Recording various monthly journal entries including certain revenue recognition, prepaid, and accrual items, as needed.
- Maintaining reconciliations while noting and resolving any reconciling items.
- Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements to processes.
- Willing to work on other ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- 1-3 years relevant experience.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends, as needed.
- Meticulous, ambitious, organized, team player.
- Experience working with Microsoft F&O ERP systems a plus.
- Strong Work Ethic – Self-directed and goal-oriented; available to work extended hours as required.
- Problem Solver – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Listens to others; works well in a team environment.
- Strong Computer Skills – Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with advanced strength in Excel.
